VANCOUVER, BC – Vancouver Whitecaps FC Boys MLS Academy earned a late 1-0 victory over Unity FC at Ken Woods Field on Wednesday, keeping their third clean sheet in their past four matches. The 'Caps extended their shutout streak to 250 minutes across their past three games.
The result gives the 'Caps are now on 13 points, only one point back of first place Unity FC with a game in hand.
After a scoreless first half, and late into the second half, Whitecaps FC finally found their winner when Sydney Wathuta flicked in a header in the 88th minute.
Whitecaps FC Boys MLS Academy are back in League1 BC action next Wednesday, June 21 when they go to Swangard Stadium to play TSS Rovers. Kickoff is at 8:30 p.m. PT
