Kid Captain of the Match

Whitecaps FC are honoured to have Sierra Richardson as Kid Captain of the club's 2023 home opener against Real Salt Lake. Saturday’s presentation will be alongside Rain City Brigade supporters group.

Sierra is eight-years-old, loves watching and being involved with soccer, and is Spike’s number one fan! Sierra was born seven weeks early with down syndrome and primarily communicates via American Sign Language (ASL) due to a respiratory issue. At four-months-old, Sierra was nearly lost to a respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), if not for the speedy action of the Fraser Lake Ambulance. Today, Sierra uses music as a positive outlet in her learning. Please join us in welcoming Sierra to the match!

Supporter of the Match

Saturday's Supporter of the Match will be Rob Danyluk from Rain City Brigade.

Rob has been a Whitecaps fan since 1979, and a season ticket holder and member of Rain City Brigade since 2017. His favourite memory is watching the 'Caps win the Canadian Championship at BC Place last year!

Clear bags/Bag Check

For ease of entry, Whitecaps FC and BC Place recommend you don’t bring a bag to the stadium.

If you do bring a bag, make sure it’s made of clear plastic and smaller than 12”x12”x6”. Exceptions will be made for diaper bags and medically necessary items that do not fit into a clear bag. You can bring one small opaque bag, but it can’t be larger than 6.5”x 8.5”. All bags will be inspected prior to entry.

Mobile entry

All tickets for Whitecaps FC matches are through mobile ticketing, providing a contactless and paperless experience.

Season ticket members and pack holders will need to access their tickets through whitecapsfc.com/accountmanager. Single match buyers will access their tickets through Ticketmaster.

Cashless transactions

In order to reduce the potential for hand-to-hand contact, and to improve the efficiency of payment transactions, BC Place is now a cashless venue.

Concessions and food and beverage vendors will accept all major digital forms of payment including Mobile, Debit Cards, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Google Pay and Apple Pay. Cash payments will not be accepted.

There will be a Cash to Card kiosk located at Sec 235 where guests can exchange cash for cards to use at the food and beverage locations throughout the stadium.

Canadian Blood Services

Visit the Canadian Blood Services at section 215 and learn more about the many ways to join Canada’s Lifeline and make all the difference. Fans who register for an account on the Canadian Blood Services app GiveBlood (myaccount.blood.ca) will be eligible to receive free personalized cresting (name and number) on a 2023 Bloodlines jersey.
