In advance of the openers, Whitecaps FC have announced the rosters for both teams.

The Whitecaps FC League1 BC women's team will be led by Whitecaps FC Girls Elite and National Development Centre (NDC) head coach Katie Collar.

The roster features players predominantly from the Whitecaps FC Girls Elite program and NDC, in partnership with BC Soccer. The squad is expected to be the youngest in the league, with 10 players recently representing Canada's U-17 women's national team in qualifying for the 2022 FIFA U-17 World Cup (Ire Omotayo and Mya Archibald now join in Vancouver).

Also joining the team is goalkeeper Nicole Anderson from Simon Fraser University, with goalkeeper Bella Lister set to depart for Texas A&M University this summer, and goalkeeper Leah Parsons to represent Alberta at the Canada Games.

The men's team is led by longtime Whitecaps FC BMO Academy coach Rich Fagan, who also spent time as head coach of the club's second team, Whitecaps FC 2 (WFC2), in the USL.

The 'Caps roster predominantly features players from the Whitecaps FC BMO U-19 MLS Academy team, and is boosted by three academy alumni who have been playing university soccer: Jaden Manetta (Seattle University), Gurman Sangha (University of Portland), and Deylen Vellios (Ohio State University).
