Whitecaps FC Development Squad heads to Mexico for trio of matches

VANCOUVER, BC
– The Whitecaps FC Development Squad will be heading to Monterrey, Mexico for a 10-day competitive trip from September 6 to 16.
The 'Caps will play three matches during the trip, taking on sides from CF Monterrey, University Tecnológico de Monterrey, and Tigres UANL.
This will be the fourth international trip in the past 12 months for the Development Squad. Last October the group travelled to Mexico, followed by a March trip to England, and a June trip to South Korea.
Three players have been transferred so far in the first year of the Development Squad. Goalkeeper 
Thomas Hasal 
and winger/fullback 
Georges Mukumbilwa
 were signed to MLS Homegrown contracts, while goalkeeper 
Chituru Odunze
 was transferred to English Premier League club Leicester City FC.
The Development Squad is led by head coach Nick Dasovic, with Michael D'Agostino as assistant coach.
