DECISION DAY REMATCH: The MLS Cup Playoffs Round One, Best-of-3 Series will feature a familiar foe for the 'Caps in the form of Decision Day opponents FC Dallas. Despite the 'Caps controlling much of the match down a man, the Texans came away with a 2-1 victory to solidify their spot in the postseason and will now return to Vancouver for the first match on Sunday, October 26 in front of another packed house at BC Place. This won't be the first time the two sides meet in the playoffs, having faced off in the Western Conference Knockout Round in 2014 at Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas. Game 2 is set for Saturday, November 1 in Frisco, a place where the 'Caps have taken all three points in their previous two visits thanks to a 1-0 victory back in March and a 3-1 win in 2024. If necessary, the third and final match of the series will be played at BC Place on Friday, November 7.

Head coach Jesper Sørensen has done wonders in his first in the league, tallying an MLS-record 27 points for a new coach in his first 12 matches and leading the team to a record point total of 63. Along the way, the Dane has also believed in the entirety of the roster, with 13 players tallying career highs in goals and assists, and playing the third youngest roster in average minutes in the league. On the field, Tristan Blackmon has been a leading candidate for Defender of the Year, as well as Yohei Takaoka for Goalkeeper of the Year.
