VANCOUVER, BC – Major League Soccer announced on Monday that Vancouver Whitecaps FC attacking midfielder Thomas Müller has been named to the MLS Team of the Matchday for Matchday 19 following his performance in the club's 1-1 draw with LAFC at BC Place.
Müller recorded his sixth goal across all competitions, stepping up to tuck away a penalty kick that he himself won in the 76th minute. The Raumdeuter also had the most touches in the opposition box amongst all players on the pitch with 14, took the joint-most shots in the match with four, created one big chance, five successful duels won, three recoveries. one successful tackle, and one interception. This marks Müller's third selection to the Team of the Matchday this season (Matchday 2, Matchday 15).
