VANCOUVER, BC – Major League Soccer announced on Monday that Vancouver Whitecaps FC attacking midfielder has been named to the MLS Team of the Matchday for Matchday 23 following his performance in the club's 3-0 away victory over Sporting Kansas City. The win saw the 'Caps extend their club-record 21-game start to an MLS regular season, while building a four-point gap at the top of the Western Conference standings.

Müller recorded his eighth goal across all competitions, slotting home his penalty kick in the 40th minute which proved to be the eventual game-winner. The Raumdeuter created the most chances in the match with five, recorded six touches in the opposition box, two successful duels won, as well as three defensive contributions. This marks Müller's fifth selection to the Team of the Matchday this season (Matchday 2, Matchday 15, Matchday 19, Matchday 20).
